Went on a last minute trip to Hong Kong with my sister and even though I've been to HK many times, each trip I still find something interesting about the place. Walked a lot more than usual and found lots of nooks and crannies that make the place so special and full of character.
Tsim Sha Tsui
A random dessert shop turned out to be a great find. Had the best egg custard ever at 五代同糖.
I loved the idea of it being served in an egg shell + it was so so soo yummy!
Wan Chai
At a friend's recommendation we visited the area to look for brunch. By sheer luck it was HK Restaurant Week and we managed to get a table at Madame Sixty-Ate even though we were initially turned away as they were fully booked.

Cured Hamachi with Fromage Frais, papaya and white grape jelly
Roast Chicken Consomme, cannelloni of Barley, aubergine crackers, grilled eel and sesame
L: Roast Lamb rump, breaded lamb leg, smoked aubergine, green olives and white anchovies
R: Lobster knuckle risotto with poached breast of chicken, cauliflower cream and hazelnut crunch ❤
Warm cigar scented chocolate financier with Sichuan ganache, pepper tuillet, smoked almond ice cream and armangnac filled dates
White rum and pineapple cannelloni with coconut sorbet and toasted coconut pate
Spent the rest of the afternoon walking around Wan Chai.
奶茶 Milk Tea at Kwong Ming Street was sweet and aromatic. It's on the CNN list of best milk tea in Hong Kong. An old cafe visited by the locals (and maybe tourists like me now).
Tin Hau
Beef noodles recommended by my sister. My sister liked the reddish but not really a fan of it. Beef balls were good.
Central
A pretty shop in Central that's a lot nicer to look at than to shop in.
The steps that are pretty iconic of Central.
I love going to furniture stores. The ones in HK really put in a lot of effort into the decor of their shops.
One for you and one for me. The rocking one's for you since you can't sit still.
Causeway Bay
Read about a private kitchen, Le Marron, online and tried it out. It's in a very unassuming building just opposite SOGO. It's a pity we don't have many private kitchens in Singapore. The food was very good, in particular the Parma Ham and Angel Hair pasta with truffle.
And of course we couldn't leave HK without having milk tea and condensed milk butter toast at Tsui Wah.
Probably my favorite Hong Kong trip so far.
