Food - The Basil Inn

Headed to The Basil Inn after hearing raves about  the Thai food there. The place is really a hole in the wall and can probably only accommodate 30 people. Had to wait around 20mins for a table - very reasonable considering that it was a weekend. Food wise, tasty but too spicy for me. I loved the prawn cake! Didn't like that the smell of oil and food was a little over whelming. Still prefer the green curry at Thai Express (non-spicy) and the overall feel over at First Thai.

Mum's 60th @ Forest 森

Lunch at Forest 森 to celebrate my Mum's big 60th. A small simple family affair.
The place was really pretty!

It's always nice to have the family together.

Food - Etna

Had dinner with J over at Etna, one of our favourite no frills Italian restaurant in the neighbourhood. Decided to take a bus so we could have more time to talk to each other. As much as I like the convenience of driving, it doesn't allow me to spend a lot of time talking to J even though we're technically spending time together.

This is the best Pistachio Tiramisu I've tasted! My heart melted when I took a bite and I couldn't stop.
Thankfully J doesn't really like dessert or sweet things. It was so so good!

Their servings are pretty generous and our bellies were protesting after so we took a nice stroll home :)
Thankful for such simple things we share.

Coffee - Loysel's Toy

Finally paid Loysel's Toy a visit this week. I think I sometimes refuse to go to a place when it's been overly patronized by people and seems like the IT place to be in. Another one I've been putting off for the same reason is Coastal Settlement.

The place is nice, small and quaint. I love how the furniture is mismatched and have cushions in non-uniform print. It's definitely ups the cosy factor for me.

As I watched him grinning (I know he looks unhappy here) at his iPad, I thought to myself, What a perfect way to spend the afternoon. A lot of people feel uncomfortable being seen alone at a place but I love doing that - alone time to recharge.

Just upstairs is a shop called Ukulele Movement that we popped by too.
Seems pretty cosy and interesting. They offer lessons too if anyone is interested.

It was nice to have spent an afternoon together with my sister, reminded me of our Hong Kong trip where we spent hours just walking around and exploring the place.

MSA's April Launch

There's no denying that I like these little boxes. Probably because they come nicely packaged and they look so classy.
Nicely bowed boxes  always make things look nicer. The idea of it looking like a gift makes me feel happy even if I bought it for myself.

A small post of accessories from Chanel and LV will be up on the My Secret Attic site at 8pm later tonight . Do drop by to see if there's anything that catches your eye. Here are some of my picks. I especially like the graphite pearl Chanel Double C earrings.

There's a promo going on as well.

Cinderella is proof that shoes can change your life. Definitely a fairytale excuse for shoe addicts like me!
